SNGF -- Your Top End-of-Line Ancestors

Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

It's Saturday Night again -

Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Here is our assignment from Randy Seaver of Genea-Musings:

1)  Show us your pedigree (or fan) chart.  Who are your end-of-line ancestors?  Describe the top 5 or 10 of them.

Here’s mine.
I made a nine-generation fan chart from RootsMagic that has my daughter in the center. I marked out the living people for privacy. It clearly shows some of the end-of-line ancestors. I have not named them all, but here is a sampling:

On my daughter’s paternal side:
Heinrich Bischoff and his wife Ann Elisabetha, who were the parents of Henrich Bischof. Eventually, the Bischof name morphed into Bishop.

Nils Jonsson and Kerstin Arvidsdotter, parents of Jonas Nilsson. As well as Brukaren Sven and Catharina, parents of Jonas’ wife, Stina Svensdotter.

Sven Svensson and Sara Jonsdotter, parents of Karin Svensdotter. I don’t know the name of her husband, Mathes Peterson’s parents.

Lars Nilsson and Ingrid, parents of Michael Larsson. I don’t know the name of his wife, Martha’s parents. I’m not sure I know her surname.

The ancestors of Pehr Alfred Anderson Lundquist go all the way back to this 9th generation, Eric Bengtsson and Anna Bryngrelsdotter. Her parents are Bryngrel Jonsson and Anna Andersdotter. There are more, as the Swedish church records are complete for this family.

On my daughter’s maternal side:

Dorothea Voss’s father was Johann Heinrich Voss.

Johann Trösster’s parents were Johann Eberhard Trösster and Eva Maria Schnier.

Benjamin F. Selman’s parents were Thomas Selman and Jemima Greenlee. There were three more generations after that: Benjamin Lawrence Selman > John Selman > John Sellman. Benjamin’s wife, Sarah Bean’s parents were Robert Bean and Martha Womack.

Robert Lancaster and Sarah Ellis were the parents of Ellis W. Lancaster. Elizabeth Neel’s parents were James Neal and Polly Martin.

Daniel Coor and Jemima Porter were the parents of John Coor. Daniel’s father may have been Arthur Coor.

John Kethley and Elizabeth Whitfield were the parents of Ann Kethley, Daniel’s wife.

Dempsey Welch’s parents were Dempsey Welch and Millie Wilkins.

Linna Hughes was the daughter of George Hughes and Jemimah Timmons.

Summary
The Swedish family on my daughter’s paternal side and the southern families on her maternal side have been researched out the farthest. Many of these southern families’ names were obtained from message boards and family trees—I have not researched them extensively to verify them. However, there are many blank spots in earlier generations that still need some research done on them.

  1. I didn't realize you have so many Swedish lines. My husband has a Keithley line in Rowan County, NC. Any connection?

    1. My husband's mother was 100% Swedish. It is possible there is a connection with the Kethley line. They were in Wayne Co, NC in 1790.

  2. I love those fan charts! They are such great visuals, and it's so easy to see the end-of-line ancestors on them. I wish I could figure out how to get my FTM to do them. And isn't Swedish research awesome?

    1. My friend says it is under publish > charts. You probably need a current version.
