SNGF -- How Will You, Or Did You, Celebrate America's 250th Birthday?

Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

It's Saturday Night again

Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Our assignment from Randy Seaver of Genea-Musings, is to:

1) It is the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence today.

2)  How will you celebrate the day?  Or, how did you celebrate the day?

Here's mine:
I started out the day, starting at 5:30 am, watching tennis matches at Wimbledon on ESPN television.

Then I participated in the Martinez 4th of July Parade, holding the banner for the Friends of Alhambra Creek.

When I got home, I watched more tennis and two World Cup matches.

Lastly, I plan to watch the musical, 1776, a tradition I do each year.

We probably will not go to see fireworks, as the city is having an extra event at the park and there will be too many people.

  1. Sounds like a lovely celebration! And I like your tradition of watching 1776, a fitting way to mark this day.

  2. Parades are lots of fun. I participated in a several when I lived in CA, but there aren't any here in Tucson. Love the photo!
